Your bathroom is probably one of the places in your house that you spend the most time, so why not upgrade it? With just a few changes or emphasis on certain aspects, you can turn it into a stylish and relaxing oasis that you can enjoy.
This post is all about inspiration ideas for glamorous bathroom decor.
Glamorous Bathroom Decor
1. A gray color scheme
One of the best ways to upgrade your bathroom decor is by picking a color scheme! A gray neutral like above always looks nice and clean, and when something looks clean, it looks 10x more put together. To follow a color scheme, you should make sure that the colors of your cabinets go well with the color of the decor. For example, for a gray and white neutral scheme, you can add a silver picture frame or two with toned down photos, gray or white hand towels, and a silver tray. I linked a few of these below:
2. A dark blue and gold color scheme
Another beautiful color scheme that I love is a dark blue with gold accents. It’s such a simple, yet classy combination that will definitely upgrade your bathroom. Like the previous color scheme of neutral grays, you need to play off the navy blue with gold accents. Gold fixtures with a gold piece or decor or two (like a soap dish or white flowers in a clear vase) would work perfectly.
3. A lavender color scheme
This color scheme is not typical, but it’s seriously a beautiful one! It gives classiness yet there’s also such a softness to it that is extremely relaxing. You could use this shade of purple and then pair it with some white and clear decor, such as reusable containers for soap and other toiletries, as well as some white lace here in there. Add a small, fake lavender plant in there and it’s perfect!
4. A beach theme

A beach theme isn’t typically known as “glamorous”, but with the right decor, you can use almost any theme to make your bathroom chic. For example, the picture above has a few beach-themed pieces that would add onto the dark blue and gold color scheme. These are from Kirklands, a favorite (but pricey) choice of mine and I’ve linked some down below along with possibly cheaper options.
- Kirkland’s Gold Coral Decor
- Amazon Gold Coral Dupe – This one from Amazon is silver, but grab some gold spray paint and it’s perfect.
- Kirkland’s Whale Art – Right now, it’s actually only $17 on sale; but a dupe could honestly just be printing it out on a thicker piece of photo paper and putting it in a cheaper frame.
- Kirkland Coral Art – This is a little pricey as well, but it is a pair rather than just one piece of art. I would still go with printing something online and putting it in your own frame for a more wallet-friendly option.
5. Marble sink trays
A tray is a chic addition to your sink area to upgrade your space. It’s an easy way to quickly “organize” the random bits that sit around your sink. The one linked above is a beautiful piece, but a little pricey. I also linked a cheaper one from Amazon below just in case the other one isn’t in your price point.
6. Matte black fixtures
Changing the fixtures in your bathroom will transform it immediately for the better! It’s even better when the sink fixtures match other pieces in your bathroom, like the mirror and even the toilet handle. Matching anything immediately makes a space look more organized and put together. It’s kind of the same feeling when your shoes and purse match (or even your bra and underwear hahahaha). Or if you want a cheaper option, totally go for the matte black spray paint! Just make sure you let it dry properly:
7. Gold fixtures
Gold fixtures are another great way to make a big impact on your bathroom style in a simple way. The color gold just instantly upgrades your room and goes well with so many colors. If you don’t want to spend money completely changing out all your fixtures, I would go ahead and buy some spray paint like I mentioned above. Be sure that you’re not just grabbing any old spray paint to use – make sure it is supposed to be used items in your household, like this one.
8. Artwork
Adding artwork is a great way to add some creativity to your bathroom. One of the easiest ways to go about it is to go with your color scheme and search based off of that and then your theme. The ones above are just an example! It also doesn’t need to break the bank, especially with choices like you have below:
- Picture Frames – This choice is a nice, cheaper version from Amazon of different sizes of picture frames.
- Pictures – This is such a good deal as it contains over 90 photos for you to choose from. If these aren’t necessarily your vibe, you can find a lot more similar to this on Amazon. Additionally, if you’re okay with a pricier option and want to support artists directly, Etsy has amazing artists.
9. Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus is such a great addition to a chic bathroom that also has amazing health benefits. It also smells amazing and has the best calming effect. If you don’t feel like putting leaves together to hang it, a lazy girl hack you can use is just putting the branches in a jar with water in your shower as well. It’s also super important to mention that eucalyptus is toxic if ingested. Be careful if you have small children or pets in the home!
10. Flowers
Fresh flowers are another way to bring that upscale, glamorous feel to your bathroom. Even better if you try to pick the color of the flowers to also go with whatever your color scheme is. Fake or real, it truly doesn’t matter. Your preference is what’s important! If you were looking to go the fake route and don’t mind paying more money, another great option is Etsy. You would never know the difference! Another plus of going fake is that it’s easier to be pet-friendly.
11. Large, fake plants
There are multiple ways to bring life into your bathroom and adding plants is one of my favorites. The example above is such a beautiful piece that sits nicely in the corner, which is great if you have the space. You can also choose smaller potted plants, fake or real, and add those to either your shelves or near the sink for the perfect small decor piece. Linked below is one of the cheapest, best value larger plants that I’ve seen.
12. Clean, uniform tiles
Adding some tiles can definitely upgrade your bathroom decor as well. There’s a great variety of tiles out there to choose from, which can suit whatever color scheme or overall vibe that you’re going for. If you would love the look of a tiled bathroom, but don’t want to spend a lot of money on it, you can always use peel-and-stick tiles. These are typically very easy to install and give your space an instant upgrade.
13. Framed mirrors
A framed mirror or two is another way to easily upgrade your bathroom. Even better if you can make the framing work with whatever color scheme that you’ve decided on. For example, the framed mirrors in the picture above show that they go well with golden fixtures and neutral gray cabinets. You could also go with all matte black fixtures.
14. Soft, plush towels on display
One of the easiest ways to upgrade your bathroom is to add some clean, soft towels to the decor. A good piece of functional decor, aka something that doubles as something you can use while being decor, is the best kind of decor to buy. It doesn’t always have to be something that’s innovative and expensive. Below, I linked the brand of bathroom towels that I like the best that won’t empty your wallet:
15. Relaxing lighting
If you want your bathroom to be a relaxing, personal oasis, then you definitely need the right lighting. Soft lighting works best, as you don’t want to feel like you’re at the doctor’s office with super harsh lighting. I would suggest that if you want decent lighting in order to do your makeup or hair, invest in a makeup mirror specifically for that reason.
16. Expensive-looking reusable containers
Uniform, reusable containers can really pull the whole look together. These make your bathroom look super organized with little work. Notice that I used “expensive-looking” and not expensive. You don’t have to break the bank to get reusable containers that can upgrade your bathroom’s look in just a few minutes. Even though the above containers are beautiful, I have linked a cheaper option below:
17. Add your favorite scent
Think about when you walk into a bathroom at an upscale restaurant – what do you notice? The scent! If you want to upgrade your bathroom, then you should definitely have some sort of scent. You can use candles or other any of your favorite diffusers or oils. You could also go the cheap route and spray your bathroom every so often, but no one has time for that these days hahaha.
