Cute Bathroom Decor Themes
1. Italian-inspired
It’s truly undeniable how gorgeous the decor for this theme is. You will see it referred to as Italian-inspired, Mediterranean, or even references to “La Vita Dolce”, meaning “the sweet life” in Italian. What you will see a lot with this theme are fruit-related decor pieces, specifically lemons, and this beautiful blue and white ceramic pattern that you see on the wall above. This common pattern coupled with nice wooden accents will make you feel like you’re in the Italian countryside. It’s the perfect summertime theme for your bathroom if you’re looking to refresh your space. The above photo doesn’t do all of the decor justice, but don’t worry! I added plenty of links below so you can check out different artwork and other pieces that will help you transform your bathroom into this theme.

2. Coastal
This theme is definitely a classic that’s been around for a while, but that doesn’t mean you can’t put your own twist on it and make it your own. You don’t have to fill your bathroom with seashells and vials of sand to give your space that beach feeling, but it’s also totally okay if that’s what you want! A more simple take on the theme would probably be to focus on the color scheme of shades of blue and tans to mimic the ocean and sand. Also one of the best parts of the beach is the salty smell of the ocean. Another great yet subtle way to make your bathroom decor an homage to the beach is by adding some scents, whether that be through an incense or a candle. Below I’ve linked a few pieces of decor to help you with this.
3. Modern
If you’re looking for something clean and elegant for your bathroom decor, then modern is the perfect theme for you. This is a timeless classic that really goes well in any space. The focus of the modern theme is to make everything look smooth and sleek, like every decor piece just seamlessly blends into one another, with neutral tones. One great color scheme is showcased in the above photo nicely with black and white, but you can also choose other pairings such as beige and brown or beige and white. Artwork is usually kept to a minimum and the decor used is typically minimum, as to appear uncluttered. Below, I’ve added some example decor for a modern space.
4. Pretty in Pink
If pink is your color, then this pretty in pink theme is perfect for your bathroom! Pink is such a versatile color depending on the shade you want to use. It can range from light pink for a soft and relaxing feel, like in the photo above, to dark pink for a more bold and exciting vibe. Shades of pink work best with neutral shades, such as white, gray, or beige. Additionally, golden fixtures pair beautifully with this color scheme. With this, you don’t even have to completely replace your fixtures. Just grab some spray paint that’s meant for fixtures just like this.
5. Blue
Another color-based theme that is pretty popular for bathroom decor themes is just a simple blue. Scientifically proven to be one of the more relaxing colors, this is a great option for maintaining that feeling of calmness. The shower is the last place that you want to be stressed out in. The color blue is an even more versatile color than pink is. It pairs well with neutral colors, complementary colors, and even just other bold colors. Typically, people like to combine blue with neutrals like gray or white, but blue definitely goes well with a whole list of colors, including but not limited to yellow, green, pink, and even black.
6. Spa
What better place in your home to make it feel like a relaxing spa than your own bathroom? Even if you don’t have the privilege of having a bathtub, you can still use decor to make your space feel like your own personal oasis. For this theme, what you should focus on is the atmosphere of the room. The lighting should be very soft here. You don’t want any harsh lighting that might make you feel like you’re in a doctor’s office. A few candles (real or fake) are perfect for this vibe. Couple the soft lighting with some scents, like eucalyptus. The perfect addition to a spa bathroom would be to hang some eucalyptus somewhere in the bathroom, especially on your shower head. Be careful, though, because it’s toxic for your pets! After you get your lighting and scents down, go ahead and add some super soft towels and maybe even a robe, and you have your perfect spa-inspired space!

7. Peachy Clean
This peach theme decor has been all over social media lately, and there’s a good reason why! It’s such a cute and fun theme that won’t make you break the bank trying to copy. In the photo above, you see that they only added a few small changes to their bathroom, and it’s more than enough. The small carpet is absolutely adorable and pairs so well with the shower curtain. To add even more into this theme, you could focus on bringing that peach color to other parts of your bathroom, like your towels and wall art. Make sure to be careful about the type of wall art you hang up though, especially in a smaller bathroom. It can be very easily destroyed if it can’t withstand moisture.
8. Strawberry
Keeping with the fruit theme, here’s another one that goes perfectly for the ultimate girl bathroom. The strawberry theme is another bathroom decor theme that has been all over social media as well. Just like the peach theme, you can add a few simple pieces and it looks complete. The bathroom in the photo above goes a little beyond that, but do whatever fits best with your own personal style. If you don’t want the strawberries to jump out at you so boldly, just focus on the general color scheme of reds, pinks, and whites and add just a few touches of strawberries here and there. A perfect compromise would be adding a pink shower curtain with pink towels and an adorable strawberry rug.
9. Earthy
If you’re someone who finds the most peace when they’re out in nature, this decor theme is right up your alley. An earthy decor theme is characterized by warm tones, wooden decor, and lush plants. Incorporating wooden elements to your bathroom, like in the photo above, doesn’t have to be difficult to achieve. Even if you don’t have a wooden counter, you can add smaller pieces like shelving and countertop dishes and trays. Coupled with a few small plants, you can also get the nature vibe by sticking with blues and greens in your decor otherwise.
10. Minimalist
The minimalist decor theme is very similar to the modern theme, except for the color palettes. If you found yourself liking the simplicity of the modern decor theme but not wanting a neutral color scheme, then this is definitely the bathroom decor theme for you. It has all the pros of the modern, with a little more flexibility in style and color. Minimalism means everything that you need is available in your bathroom, and any extras are kept to minimal. For example, you might just have one piece of art. As you can tell it’s also the perfect theme for people who hate clutter.
11. Maximalist
Now let’s take a look at the opposite. If a minimalist theme is clean and elegant, then a maximalist theme is fun and bold! Maybe the simplicity of a minimalistic or modern theme is boring to you, and that’s totally okay. Like stated above, there’s a bathroom decor theme for everyone! This theme has perfected the combination of colors and eclectic decor. For a maximalist bathroom, typically the more patterns and decor, the better. But there’s also such a range and so many different ways you can go with this theme. It’s definitely the theme for the creatives out there. You don’t have to go all out or over-the-top with a maximalist theme either, though. You could focus on one piece like a very aggressively loud wallpaper and then pieces of decor that match that same color scheme in your wallpaper.
