It’s almost springtime and that means a decor refresh for your living room is due! Are you looking to upgrade your spring coffee table decor? If you are, you’re in the right place.
Cozy is defined as a feeling of comfort, warmth, and relaxation, so that makes it a perfect vibe for your living room. All the decor in your living room should really play off each other and have a similar theme.
So when I say we’re going for cozy living room vibes with a cozy spring coffee table decor, I want it to feel relaxing, comfortable, and warm. This list below will give you perfect examples of pieces of decor to add to your living room to make it that way!
This post is all about spring coffee table decor.
Cozy Spring Coffee Table Decor
1. Centerpiece
Let’s start with the most important piece of decor – a centerpiece. Every coffee table needs one. If you’re more of a minimalist and want to go the simple route, pick one piece, regardless of what it is, and use it as your centerpiece. You can choose a bouquet of flowers, like in the picture above, or anything else that you would think would make your living room cozier.
2. Books
Books are another great piece of cozy, functional decor, something that can double as decor and something you can use. Are you currently reading a good book? Make use of it by adding it as a decor piece on your coffee table! If you’re concerned about the color scheme, I linked some book covers/boxes from Amazon. These are a really cool tool because you could put other items in them as well! Also, you don’t have to be a serious book reader to add it to your coffee table! There are plenty of “fake” books that don’t even have any writing in them if you’re just more interested in the aesthetic – nothing wrong with that!
3. Table Runner
A good table runner is another piece of decor that could bring your coffee table’s look together. It’s a perfect layering piece that you can then add your other pieces on top of. An interesting idea, as you see above, is that a table runner doesn’t need to just be made out of cloth. There are plenty of nice wooden or plastic table runners instead. Another plus is that if it ever gets dirty, it’s much easier and quicker to wipe it down than having to spot clean or throw it in the wash. I did link a cloth table runner below just in case that’s more your vibe!
4. Mirror Tray or Plate
A tray or a plate, like in the picture above, is a great way to organize all the decor that’s on your coffee table. It’s also a great alternative if you don’t have or don’t want a table runner. A tray or plate can also make your table look more clean and chic than just having a bunch of items thrown together on it. There are definitely a variety of styles and shapes, but I linked two different ones below.
5. Candles
If you’re talking about a cozy atmosphere, there’s nothing more perfect than some nicely lit candles. They are so relaxing and warm, figuratively and literally. A candle or two will always be a perfect accent to any room that you’re trying to make a comfy space. You don’t even have to use real candles, especially if you have young kids or pets. You can easily grab some candles with a fake flame that will give off that same ambience. I linked both real and fake candles below!
6. Knit or Woven Decor
Another piece of decor that really just screams cozy is anything knit. I think it just says warm and comfy and is a great addition to any coffee table. There are a lot of different types of knit decor that you can add, like the knit trays in the picture above, or something that’s in season for spring like a knit rabbit or Easter egg. I’ve linked a few options below for you to check out!
7. Small plant
Something that will always freshen up a room will be a nice plant, especially during this time of year. It’s a perfect way to usher in spring in your own living room while adding that cozy feel. With plants, you can always go the fake route, especially if you have pets. For example, lavender is such a beautiful, low maintenance plant to add, but it includes a compound that can be toxic to dogs, so I stick with a fake one! You can always grab a nice, real plant at your local Home Depot or local nursery and repot them, but I also linked some fake options below.
8. Fresh flowers
Flowers are a great way to refresh your coffee table in the springtime as well. If you go the real route, like in the picture above, they can also make your room smell amazing. Just like I said above, be careful with what flowers you do choose because they could be toxic to your pet friends. Tulips are a beautiful spring flower, but they’re actually toxic to dogs. But there’s nothing wrong with going the fake route as well! It’s also less hassle and you don’t have to worry about keeping them alive. I liked a few options below for fake flowers, but feel free to visit your nearest flower shop!
9. Board game
This is one of the cutest ideas, especially if you’re a board game lover. There are definitely more aesthetic games that you can have, like the above chess set that uses nice, neutral colors to easily go with a neutral color scheme. But don’t be afraid to just add one or two of your favorite board games – maybe ones that you play with friends or even your kids. Just make sure to carry that kind of color scheme all the way through! I know that some people are afraid of color these days, but don’t be! If that’s what is comfy and relaxing to you, then go for it!
10. Magazine
Having magazines on your coffee table is another great functional piece. And honestly, it’s way more realistic than a lot of ideas. They make your house look lived in, not just some replica of another social media aesthetic. And although magazines have fallen out of popularity in exchange for digital media, they’re still a great option.
11. A Bowl or Basket
Speaking of realistic decor pieces, this is a great hack for those who tend to have messy living rooms or random things laying on your coffee table. A nice bowl or basket is an easy way to make your coffee table look more organized and put together, even if it’s just you throwing all of your junk in it! You can really go all different ways with what type of bowl or basket that you would prefer. The basket in the above photo might not be the best in hiding your junk, it sure looks cute, right? I linked a similar bowl below as well as one that might be better at hiding your things!
12. A seasonal piece
A seasonal piece to add to your coffee table is always a great addition. For springtime, you could add something that hints at an upcoming holiday, like Easter. It’s a great holiday to reference considering it’s always in springtime and a lot of related pieces can stay on your coffee table for the entirety of spring, and maybe even into summer. The picture below shows you a perfect example with a pine cone shaped like an Easter egg. I linked a similar piece below as well as other options.
13. Something that YOU like
Lastly, choose something that YOU would like to have on your coffee table. What feels comfy and relaxing to YOU? What would you be okay with looking at everyday when you sit down after work to relax? That’s what’s important! It could be having a bottle of wine with two glasses, ready to go, like in the photo above. Personally, I love a good cozy vibe myself, so I actually have an ottoman that doubles as our coffee table that has a blanket on top, a pillow, a tray, our remote, and coasters because that’s functional AND cozy for my family. Feel free to have some fun by putting your own personal spin on what you want your coffee table to look like.
